Study in South Korea - How It Works?
Application Period
The application period for Majors/ programs usually opens several months before the start of the session. There are two intakes per year in South Korea: the spring semester begins in March and the autumn semester begins in September. It's recommended to start the application process early to ensure sufficient time for document preparation and submission.
Application Submission
During this period, you will need to complete the application form and submit it along with the required documents. The application requirements may include academic transcripts, proof of language proficiency (usually IELTS/TOPIK 5), a LOR, SOP and other documents.
Evaluation and Selection
Once the application deadline has passed, the university will evaluate the applications and select candidates based on their academic performance, language proficiency, and other relevant criteria. Some universities may conduct interviews or aptitude tests as part of the selection process.
Admission Decision
After the evaluation process, the university will inform applicants of the admission decision. If you are accepted, you will receive an offer letter or admission notification specifying the next steps.
Enrolment and Visa Process
5. If you accept the offer, you will need to complete the enrolment process, which may include paying the enrolment fee, providing additional documents, and securing a student visa (D-4-1, D-2-1).
